Key Features
The RDL D-RLC10KM is a remote level control panel that combines a single-turn rotary control with a momentary mute button. It provides one control location for compatible RDL VCA modules, including modules equipped with RJ45 VCA control. A red and green indicator clearly communicates whether the output is muted or active, while RJ45 and discrete wiring options support different integration requirements.
This model is suited to systems that require straightforward remote level adjustment and muting from a single location. The rotary control provides direct access to level changes, and the dedicated mute button toggles the output on and off. Its standard US electrical-box mounting format makes it appropriate wherever the control must be installed as a fixed panel rather than placed alongside the controlled module.
The D-RLC10KM connects directly to RDL VCA modules and can also directly control modules with RJ45 VCA control. This makes it a focused interface for compatible systems that need an accessible level knob, a separate mute function, and an immediate visual indication of operating status.
The D-RLC10KM consolidates level control, muting, and status indication into one panel. Its resistance range is 0 to 10 kΩ with a linear response, and the single-turn rotary design keeps operation direct. The momentary mute button toggles the output between active and muted states without requiring a separate external switch at the control location.
The dual-color indicator provides specific feedback. Red identifies the muted state, in which the DC variable output is 0 volts. Green identifies the active state, in which the DC variable output tracks the position of the front-panel knob. The MUTE output is a 25 mA open-collector output.
The panel mounts in a standard US electrical box. A cover plate is available separately. For system wiring, installers may use an RJ45 connection or discrete wiring through the detachable terminal block. These connection options allow the panel to integrate directly with supported RDL VCA equipment while accommodating the wiring method used by the installation.
The panel measures 4.1 inches high by 1.7 inches wide. Its depth is 1.44 inches without the knob and 2 inches with the knob. Metric dimensions are 10.4 cm high, 4.33 cm wide, 3.7 cm deep without the knob, and 5 cm deep with the knob. Standard RDL white, stainless, and black versions are available.
Unlike a basic rotary panel, the D-RLC10KM adds an integrated mute control and a status indicator that describes the actual operating state. The red and green display distinguishes muted operation from active level tracking without relying solely on the knob position. Its support for both RJ45 and discrete connections on a detachable terminal block also provides two documented approaches to wiring compatible equipment.
The design remains centered on one control location, avoiding unrelated controls while providing the three functions needed at that point: level adjustment, mute toggling, and state indication.
The RDL D-RLC10KM is a purpose-built remote interface for compatible VCA modules. Its 0 to 10 kΩ linear rotary control, momentary mute button, red and green status indicator, and selectable RJ45 or discrete wiring provide a clearly defined control solution. Standard electrical-box mounting and documented panel dimensions support practical installation planning, while the detachable terminal block simplifies access to discrete connections.
