Key Features
The white Vivitek DU7299Z is a large-venue laser projector designed for medium and large corporate meeting rooms. Its 10,000 ANSI lumens of brightness, native WUXGA resolution, and support for 4K-UHD signals at 60 Hz suit installations that require high output and flexible source compatibility. A lamp-free laser phosphor light source provides up to 20,000 hours of operation, supporting organizations seeking long-term durability, reduced maintenance, and a low total cost of ownership.
The DU7299Z combines a 20,000:1 contrast ratio with single-chip DLP technology from Texas Instruments and a 0.67-inch DMD. Its native 1920 x 1200 resolution uses a 16:10 aspect ratio, while the input system supports resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz. This combination accommodates WUXGA presentation material as well as 4K-UHD video sources without requiring a separate projector for each format.
The laser design eliminates the conventional projection lamp. In addition to its rated operating life of up to 20,000 hours, the projector is backed by a five-year projector warranty. The laser phosphor light source is covered for five years or 20,000 operating hours, whichever occurs first.
Nine optional lenses cover throw ratios from 0.50:1 to 8.3:1, giving system designers options for different room depths and projector positions. Motorized zoom and motorized lens shift simplify image placement. Vertical optical shift extends 50% downward and 70% upward, while horizontal shift reaches 15% to the left and 15% to the right. Vertical and horizontal keystone correction each provide a range of plus or minus 30 degrees.
The connection panel supports HDMI 2.0 through two inputs, DVI-D, VGA, component video over five BNC connectors, composite video, and VGA output. Network and signal distribution connections include one LAN port and one HDBaseT port through two RJ45 connectors. RS-232 input and output, a wired remote-control jack, USB-B service access, and a power-only USB-A port support control and servicing requirements. Audio connections include RCA and mini-jack inputs plus an RCA output.
Video compatibility includes SDTV 480i and 576i, EDTV 480p and 576p, HDTV 720p, 1080i, and 1080p, plus NTSC, PAL, SECAM, and 4K-UHD sources. The projector also supports 3D Ready operation through DLP Link for PC and video, Direct 3D through HDMI 1.4a, and top-and-bottom, right-and-left, and frame-sequential 3D formats.
The DU7299Z is distinguished by the breadth of its installation range. Its nine optional lenses span short through long throw ratios, while motorized optical adjustments allow the projected image to be positioned without relying entirely on digital correction. HDBaseT, LAN, RS-232 input and output, and wired remote support give integrators several ways to distribute signals and manage the projector.
The chassis measures 470 x 517 x 202 mm and weighs 23.5 kg. It operates from a 100–240 VAC, 50/60 Hz supply, consumes 465 watts in Normal mode, and uses less than 0.5 watt in standby. Standard accessories include a VGA cable, AC power cord, lens cap, quick-start guide, regional warranty card, and remote control with battery.
For medium-to-large corporate rooms requiring high brightness, WUXGA detail, 4K-UHD input compatibility, extensive wired connectivity, and adaptable optics, the Vivitek DU7299Z offers a focused large-venue configuration. Its long-life laser phosphor source, motorized lens controls, optional lens range, integrated speakers, and comprehensive control connections make it particularly suited to professionally planned installations where operating life and positioning flexibility are central requirements.
