Key Features
The Vivitek DU8053Z is a large-venue projector built around high-output dual-laser technology, WUXGA imaging, and extensive installation flexibility. It delivers 14,000 ANSI lumens with a native resolution of 1920 x 1200 and accepts signals up to 4K UHD at 3840 x 2160. A single-chip Texas Instruments DLP system with a 0.8-inch DMD, DMD HEP technology, and a 3,000,000:1 full on/off contrast ratio supports bright, colorful images in demanding large-room applications.
This model is intended for projection in large halls and other spacious environments requiring substantial light output. Its range of optional lenses and broad signal compatibility suit integrated AV systems where projector placement, image geometry, and source connectivity must be carefully coordinated. Native 16:10 presentation support is complemented by compatibility with SDTV, EDTV, HDTV, 1080i/p, and 4K UHD video signals.
The DU8053Z combines 14,000 ANSI lumens with a dual-laser light source rated for up to 30,000 hours. Instant power-on and power-off operation requires neither warm-up nor post-use cooling. Its imaging system supports DIPC3, Rec. 709, EBU, and SMPTE color standards along with dynamic black adjustment. For installations that require both detailed WUXGA presentation content and compatibility with higher-resolution sources, the projector accepts signals up to 4K UHD while displaying at its native WUXGA resolution.
Eight optional lenses cover throw ratios from 0.31:1 to 6.94:1, allowing the projection system to be configured for widely different room layouts. Motorized zoom and motorized lens shift support remote optical adjustment. Lens shift reaches plus or minus 60 percent vertically and plus or minus 20 percent horizontally, while keystone correction provides a range of plus or minus 60 degrees horizontally and plus or minus 40 degrees vertically.
Connection options include two HDMI inputs, two DisplayPort connections, DVI-D, a USB-B service port, and a USB-A port providing 5 V/2 A power. The projector also includes a wired remote-control jack, RS-232 input and output, 3D synchronization input and output, one RJ45 LAN connection, and one RJ45 HDBaseT connection. These interfaces support source connection, control, servicing, network integration, and signal distribution within an installed AV system.
The chassis measures 500 x 591 x 216 mm and weighs 29.4 kg. It operates from 100–240 VAC at 50/60 Hz and consumes 830 W in Normal mode at 240 V, with standby consumption below 0.5 W. Rated operating noise is 39 dB in Normal mode and 36 dB in Eco mode.
The native WUXGA resolution provides a 16:10 image with 1920 x 1200 pixels. Supported video signals include 480i, 576i, 480p, 576p, 720p, 1080i/p, and 4K UHD. The listed refresh rate is 60 Hz. A 3,000,000:1 full on/off contrast ratio and dynamic black settings complement the projector’s 14,000-lumen output. The single-chip DLP architecture uses Texas Instruments technology and a 0.8-inch DMD.
The defining combination is its high-output dual-laser design, extensive optional-lens range, and motorized optical adjustment. Few setup parameters are fixed: installers can select among eight optional lenses, work across throw ratios from 0.31:1 through 6.94:1, and adjust both lens position and image geometry. The DU8053Z also supports 3D Ready operation through a DLP PC and video link, Direct 3D through HDMI 1.4a, and top/bottom, right/left, and frame-sequential 3D formats.
The Vivitek DU8053Z is a focused large-venue projection solution for installations requiring 14,000 ANSI lumens, native WUXGA detail, 4K UHD signal support, and substantial lens flexibility. Its 30,000-hour dual-laser light source, instant on/off operation, motorized adjustments, HDBaseT, LAN, RS-232, and extensive source connectivity provide a comprehensive foundation for an integrated projection system.
