Key Features
The RDL D-RLC2 is a remote level control panel designed for installations that require accessible UP and DOWN adjustment with clear visual level indication. Its 10-segment display allows users to view the current level directly at the control location. Support for multiple control and indication locations makes the panel suitable where level adjustment needs to be available from more than one position.
The D-RLC2 mounts in a standard US electrical box or an RDL WB- or SMB-series box. This mounting flexibility makes it appropriate for permanent wall-mounted control points where a premium-quality panel and professional aesthetic appearance are desired.
The D-RLC2 combines two-button operation with a dedicated visual display. Pressing the UP or DOWN pushbutton sends the corresponding signal back to the connected RDL control module. The pushbutton-actuated UP and DOWN outputs are rated at 15 Vdc at 5 mA, while the ramp input accepts a 0 to 10 Vdc signal.
When the panel is connected to an RDL RU-VCA2A, pressing both buttons simultaneously causes the level to return to the PRESET level on the RU-VCA2A. This provides direct access to the preset function without adding another control to the panel.
The panel is designed to mount in a standard US electrical box as well as RDL WB- or SMB-series boxes. A cover plate is available separately, allowing the required plate to be selected independently of the controller. Connections are made through a detachable terminal block.
The D-RLC2 requires ground-referenced 24 Vdc power at 75 mA. The listed recommended power supplies are the RDL PS-24AS for the USA and the PS-24AX for international applications. Installers should account for the specified 0 to 10 Vdc ramp input and 15 Vdc at 5 mA UP and DOWN outputs when integrating the panel with the associated control equipment.
The specified ambient operating range is 0 degrees C to 55 degrees C. Front and rear panel diagrams are available in American DXF format, and CAD resources include an engineering functional block in American DXF format. A PDF specification sheet is also identified in the source data.
The D-RLC2 places level adjustment, visual indication, and preset recall access into one remote panel. Rather than providing pushbuttons alone, it pairs the UP and DOWN controls with a 10-segment display so that the control location also serves as an indication point. Its ability to support multiple control and indication locations extends this functionality to installations that require more than one operating position.
The simultaneous-button function adds a specific benefit when the panel is paired with the RU-VCA2A: both buttons together return the level to the RU-VCA2A PRESET setting. Standard US electrical-box mounting and compatibility with RDL WB- and SMB-series boxes provide defined installation options, while the separately available cover plate allows the visible installation component to be selected as needed.
The RDL D-RLC2 is a focused remote level-control solution for systems requiring UP and DOWN pushbutton operation, a 10-segment visual level display, and support for multiple control or indication locations. Its 0 to 10 Vdc ramp input, specified pushbutton outputs, detachable terminal block, and standard electrical-box mounting provide clear parameters for integration. For RU-VCA2A installations, simultaneous button operation also places PRESET-level recall directly at the remote panel.
