The RDL ST-RG1 is a ramp generator that provides a nominal 0 to 10 V output for remote control of ST-VCA3 modules. Pushbutton up and down inputs adjust the output across its range, while separate red and green LED outputs provide position indication. Its ramp output can drive as many as six VCAs, supporting both individual and multiple remote control points.
The ST-RG1 is suited to systems requiring pushbutton control of one or more ST-VCA3 modules. Its ability to drive six VCAs makes it appropriate when several VCAs must respond to the same ramp output. The buffered, de-bounced switch inputs also support installations where external closures are used to initiate upward or downward changes.
Dual indicator outputs make the unit useful when the control position needs to be visible at the pushbutton location. The red output indicates positions from partial to fully off, while the green output indicates positions from partial to fully on. Multiple VCA remote control points are supported by the product design.
The ST-RG1 combines voltage ramp generation, external closure control, LED indication, and multi-VCA drive capability in one device. It provides one input for ramping up and one for ramping down. An external closure pulls the normally low input to +15 Vdc to activate the selected function.
The nominal five-second travel time covers the full operating range in either direction. A 200 mV nominal minimum step provides defined incremental movement, while the buffered, de-bounced inputs help manage pushbutton commands without requiring those functions to be provided separately.
The unit requires ground-referenced 24 Vdc at 40 mA. Recommended power supplies are the PS-24AS for the USA and the PS-24AX for international use; the power supply is not included. The ambient operating range is 0 degrees C to 55 degrees C.
Integration uses separate UP and DOWN control inputs. Each input is normally low, and an external closure pulls it to +15 Vdc to activate the corresponding ramp function. The ramp output connects to the controlled VCA equipment and is capable of driving six VCAs. Two indicator outputs are provided for red and green LEDs, with output current ranging from 0 to 3 mA for low-current, high-intensity LEDs.

The primary output is 0 to 10 V nominal. Under an ST-VCA3 load, the typical operating span is less than 0.1 V to more than 9.8 V. Full travel from fully off to fully on, or from fully on to fully off, takes five seconds nominal.
The ST-RG1 is specifically configured around pushbutton ramp control rather than a continuously adjusted control. Its separate UP and DOWN inputs, dual position-indicator outputs, and ability to drive six VCAs bring the main remote-control functions together in a compact system component.
The red and green indicator outputs distinguish the two sides of the control range: red covers partial to fully off, and green covers partial to fully on. This provides more information than a single on/off indicator while retaining simple external closure activation.
