Key Features
The RDL D-RC4M is a four-channel remote control designed to interface directly with the RDL RU-ASX4D and RU-ASX4DR. It provides remote selection of four sources through four momentary pushbuttons, with one button assigned to each channel. Four green LEDs indicate the selected channel. This combination puts source selection and channel status at a dedicated wall-mounted control location.
The D-RC4M is intended for systems that need source selection away from the connected RU-ASX4D or RU-ASX4DR. It supports either a single control location or multiple control locations, allowing the same four-source selection function to be available at several positions. Up to ten remote control locations are supported. Its one-button-per-source layout is suited to installations where operators need immediate access to a particular channel and visible confirmation of the active selection.
Each of the four sources has a dedicated momentary pushbutton, supporting single-button selection without requiring a shared selector. A corresponding green LED indicates which channel is selected. The source data also specifies that the display remains bright during adjustment and dims after adjustment. The D-RC4M has a professional aesthetic appearance and is designed as a companion to other RDL remote controls. Stainless steel, black, and white versions are available.
The D-RC4M mounts in a standard US electrical box and is also compatible with RDL WB- or SMB-series boxes. Its installed dimensions are 4.11 inches high, 1.31 inches wide, and 0.98 inches deep, equivalent to 10.44 by 3.33 by 2.49 centimeters. Connections are made through a detachable terminal block, and the remote interfaces directly with the RDL RU-ASX4D and RU-ASX4DR.
Remote wiring can use six conductors or UTP cable, including CAT5 or CAT6. The power requirement is ground-referenced 24 Vdc at 30 mA. These defined mounting, wiring, connection, and power requirements provide the information needed to plan the remote-control portion of a compatible system.
The four momentary selectors provide one pushbutton for each channel, while four green LEDs identify the selected channel. The unit supports remote selection of four sources and can operate as the only control location or as one of as many as ten remote locations. Its specified ambient operating environment extends from 0 degrees C to 55 degrees C. The bright-during-adjustment and dim-after-adjustment display behavior provides two defined indication levels during and following an adjustment.
The D-RC4M combines direct compatibility with the RU-ASX4D and RU-ASX4DR, individual selection controls, channel-specific LED indication, and support for multiple control locations. Its ability to use six-conductor wiring or CAT5/CAT6 UTP cable provides two documented wiring approaches. The narrow 1.31-inch width and standard electrical-box mounting format distinguish its physical configuration, while compatibility with RDL WB- and SMB-series boxes adds documented mounting options.
For shipping reference, the product has a shipping weight of 0.375 pounds and comes in a cardboard box measuring 3.625 by 4.625 by 2.125 inches. Its listed WEEE weight is 0.22 pounds.
The RDL D-RC4M is a focused remote-control solution for selecting four sources through an RU-ASX4D or RU-ASX4DR. Its four dedicated pushbuttons, four green channel LEDs, detachable terminal connection, standard-box mounting, and support for up to ten control locations define its role clearly. For an installation that meets the specified 24 Vdc ground-referenced power requirement and requires direct four-channel selection, it provides a compact, purpose-built RDL control interface with documented CAT5, CAT6, or six-conductor wiring support.
