Key Features
Overview
The Optoma ZK1000 represents a new generation of high-brightness laser projection, engineered specifically for demanding commercial and entertainment applications. Emitting a brilliant 10,000 ISO lumens, this 4K+ WQUXGA projector is capable of cutting through high ambient light to deliver rich, immersive visuals. Utilizing a Texas Instruments 0.8-inch HEP (High-Efficiency Pixel) DLP chip and Optoma’s DuraCore laser technology, the ZK1000 provides a massive 4,000,000:1 contrast ratio and up to 30,000 hours of virtually maintenance-free operation in Eco mode. Because every large venue has unique requirements, the ZK1000 does not include a fixed lens; instead, it is compatible with a comprehensive suite of interchangeable motorized lenses, ranging from ultra-short throw to extra-long zoom.
Unprecedented Detail and Color
Moving beyond standard 4K, the ZK1000 features WQUXGA (3840 x 2400) resolution. This 16:10 aspect ratio provides 9.2 million pixels—more vertical workspace than standard 4K UHD—making it the perfect direct replacement for older WUXGA projectors in retrofits, while significantly upgrading the sharpness and pixel density for museum exhibits, simulations, and corporate presentations.
Compact Design and Flexible Installation
Despite its massive light output, the ZK1000 is 49% lighter and 41% more compact than its predecessor (the ZK1050), weighing only 37 lbs (16.8 kg). This drastic reduction in footprint makes overhead installations and tight space integration much safer and easier. It also supports 360-degree orientation, portrait mode projection, and built-in edge blending and warping via the Optoma Visual Suite, allowing multiple projectors to be seamlessly stitched together for massive displays.
Live Event and Networking Capabilities
For the live events and staging industry, the ZK1000 integrates seamlessly into complex production environments. It features built-in Art-Net DMX support, allowing lighting technicians to directly control the projector from lighting consoles via Ethernet, ensuring that visual effects and stage lighting remain perfectly synchronized. It also offers full network control via HDBaseT 3.0, Crestron Connected V2, PJLink, and Optoma Management Suite (OMS) for remote fleet management.
