Key Features
The AtlasIED AA200PHD is a six-input, 200-watt mixer amplifier designed for distributed business paging and background music (BGM) systems. It combines source mixing, paging control, speaker-system output, remote control capability, and system checking in one unit. Output is supported for 25V, 70.7V, or 4Ω speaker systems, while Push Here Diagnostic (PHD) technology provides a direct way to test connected speaker lines after installation. The amplifier also supports Remote Input Selection and Remote Level control.
The AA200PHD fits business audio systems that need both background music and paging. Its six inputs accommodate multiple program and paging sources, while configurable muting allows a signal on Input 1 to mute Inputs 2 through 6. This arrangement supports applications where paging needs to take priority over other connected sources. A Zone 2 output mix can also be created from any or all of Inputs 1 through 4 using a rear-panel DIP switch, providing a defined secondary mix from selected inputs.
This model combines flexible speaker-system compatibility with built-in installation verification. A single amplifier supports 25V and 70.7V distributed speaker systems as well as a 4Ω load. Its PHD circuit checks connected speaker lines for wiring and impedance errors, while the input section supports microphone and line-level sources. Remote Input Selection and Remote Level control provide additional options for integrating source and volume control into the system. These features address the central requirements of distributed business paging and BGM applications.
Inputs 1 through 4 can each be configured for microphone or line operation. Phantom power is available as an option when these inputs are used with microphones, allowing the input section to be matched to the connected source type. The specified connection is a 4-position Phoenix connector with 3.5mm pitch.
Once all speakers are connected, the PHD test can be activated. The circuit automatically verifies that the attached speakers’ tap settings do not exceed the amplifier’s rated power, that no speaker is mistakenly tapped at 8Ω, and that the speaker wire is free from shorts. This gives the installer a system-level check of the completed speaker-line configuration.
The chassis measures 16.54 inches wide by 3.66 inches high by 14.6 inches deep, with listed metric dimensions of 420 by 93 by 422mm. Net weight is 26 lb, shipping weight is 29.5 lb, and voltage compatibility is 110V to 120V.
The AA200PHD has a specified frequency response of 50Hz to 15kHz. At 4Ω, its maximum average output is rated at 200W RMS across 50Hz to 15kHz with 0.5% THD. It also provides 200 watts of output power for 25V and 70.7V speaker systems. The six-input architecture supports source mixing, while the configurable Input 1 priority function can mute Inputs 2 through 6 during paging.
Push Here Diagnostic technology is the defining feature of the AA200PHD. Its automatic test evaluates specific speaker-line conditions that can affect a completed installation: total speaker tap settings exceeding rated amplifier power, speakers mistakenly tapped at 8Ω, and shorts in the speaker wiring. The diagnostic function is complemented by selectable mic or line operation on Inputs 1 through 4, optional phantom power, paging-priority configuration, remote input and level control, and rear-panel Zone 2 mix selection.
The AtlasIED AA200PHD brings six-input mixing, 200-watt output, multiple speaker-system formats, paging priority, Zone 2 mixing, and automatic speaker-line testing into one business audio amplifier. It is specifically configured for distributed paging and background music systems that require both source-management flexibility and verification of connected speaker wiring. The included warranty period is 36 months from the date of purchase.
