NEC VE281X Overview
The NEC NP-VE281X 3D Digital Projector packs a lot of features into its highly portable 5.1 lb form. It boasts an impressive 2800-lumen brightness, so you won't have to turn the lights out during a presentation. But if you do, you'll see the full effect of its 3,000:1 contrast and crisp XGA (1024 x 768) resolution. Under the hood lies Texas Instruments' BrilliantColor 0.55" DLP chip which churns out vibrant hues thanks to its six-color technology, also producing 50% more brightness than other DLP projectors without BrilliantColor. And being a DLP projector means there's no filter around which to build a maintenance cycle.
The NP-VE281X provides wide compatibility and connectivity with your data sources. HDMI, component, and digital audio inputs are all on board, as is an RS-232 connection for external control. You can view your presentation in 3D with the addition of optional NEC shutter glasses. The powerful 7W speaker provides the volume needed for small to medium sized rooms.
This is a projector you can feel good about using. Designed with the environment in mind, the NP-VE281X's ECO mode not only increases lamp life to 6,000 hours, but also reduces power draw and saves you time and money on your service cycle. Power is automatically switched off when no signal is detected from the source, and turned on again when a signal is received.
