BenQ SU917 Overview
Enjoyed detailed high-resolution images with the BenQ SU917 5000 Lumen WUGA DLP Multimedia Projector. It features 5000 lumens of brightness and a 7,000:1 contrast ratio. Additionally, this projector sports a WUXGA 1920 x 1200 native resolution for viewing detailed contents. The SU917 is powered by a DLP chip system, and the lamp features a long life of up to 3,500 hours. This projector is also equipped with BrilliantColor technology, which provides multi-color processing for accurate reproduction. You can use the SU917 to project up to a 300" diagonal screen size, and it features a 1.37 - 2.05:1 throw ratio.
With two VGA, two HDMI, S-video, and composite video inputs, this projector is well equipped for external video sources. It also support MHL connectivity via HDMI, which allows you to mirror and charge compatible mobile devices. Other features include a 0.5W standby power consumption level, optional ceiling mount compatibility, and a respectable 1.5x zoom. A 10W speaker is also built into the projector for audio playback.

EZ QPresenter 2.0 for PC offers wireless connectivity from your computer to the SU917 with the option to extend to a secondary display or project streaming video directly from your PC or notebook. You can download the iOS/Android EZ QPresenter 2.0 app to an iPhone/iPad/Android device and take your presentation materials with you on-the-go. Project PDF, Microsoft Office, and iWorks documents on the SU917 directly from your mobile devices. The app also offers instant access to your cloud storage with Dropbox streaming.
Vertical Lens Shift for Precise Projector Placement
To simplify projector installation, the vertical lens shift function can be used to adjust the position of the projected image to fit the projection screen. This adjustment can be made by using the switch next to the projector lens.
2D Keystone Correction
When the projector is placed off center, the 2D keystone correction feature gives you wider projector installation flexibility by correcting the trapezoid effect using horizontal and vertical adjustments.
Corner Fit Correction
Corner Fit is a flexible and convenient way to correct picture dimensions by adjusting each corner of an image independently.
Eco Blank Mode
The Eco Blank mode allows instructors to blank the projection screen when needed, or simply when the projector is not in use. When activated, this feature dims the lamp power automatically, lowering the total power consumption by approximately 70%.
SmartEco Mode
SmartEco Mode adjusts the lamp power to maximize power saving by delivering optimized contrast and brightness performance using only as much light as needed.
No Source Detected Mode
The automatic switch to Eco Blank Mode after the projector is turned on for over three minutes without a display source eliminates unnecessary energy waste and prolongs the life of the projector lamp.
Quick Installation Hot Key
With the Quick Install hotkey on the remote control, an installer can quickly access installation related functions in the OSD menu.
Instant Restart
The Instant Restart feature gives presenters a 90-second window period to turn the projector back on immediately when it has been switched off by accident.
MHL Connectivity
With MHL connectivity, you can share your content from your Android devices on your larger screen. The SU917's MHL function allows you to mirror data, photo and other contents from your compatible Android devices. Additionally, the SU917 will charge the battery of your connected smartphone or tablet through the HDMI/MHL port.
Supports Various 3D Formats
This BenQ projector is equipped with DLP Link 3D technology. The 3D formats supported by the SU917 are 3D field-sequential, 3D frame packing, 3D top-and-bottom and 3D side-by-side. Furthermore, this projector is compatible with 3D Blu-ray players. 3D glasses are sold separately.
