Description

LG CXP Overview

Enjoy apps and internet-based content at four times the resolution of Full HD with the LG CXPUA 55" Class HDR 4K UHD Smart OLED TV. This 54.6" OLED TV features a native resolution of 3840 x 2160, allowing you to view detailed UHD images, and the enhanced black and contrast levels of OLED technology helps colors seem more vibrant. HDR capability with HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Vision support provides a wider color gamut and increased brightness with compatible content and devices. Dolby Vision IQ technology uses an onboard ambient light sensor and your content's genre to optimize the image of Dolby Vision content for your room.

As a smart TV with Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity, you'll have access to the LG Content Store to download apps, plus a full web browser for internet surfing. You can control the CXPUA with just your voice through your Google Assistant- or Amazon Alexa-enabled device or via the included Magic Remote Control. Its four HDMI 2.1 inputs allow you to connect your digital HD sources, such as HD cable/satellite boxes or game consoles.

Great Picture Quality, Just ok Software

Posted by JohnLGRev on 7th Mar 2023

Right out of the box, this is a beautiful TV. It is paper thin, and the stand looks clean and low profile. That is before even turning it on. This TV has fantastic picture quality, as expected with an OLED display. 4K content with Dolby Vision looks amazing on this thing, and its worth the price just for that. I am a little disappointed with the Smart TV software that comes with it. It has a wide range of streaming services and websites like Twitch and YouTube included, which is great, but occasionally the programs crash. I have to delete my recently used apps for them to work properly again. I continue to receive software updates, hoping that each one of them fixes it, but the problem still remains after every one. The only other issue is the remote. I like the mouse mechanic that the remote has, but after only about 3 months of use, the arrow pad in the middle became sticky to click on. I have contacted LG about getting a new one, which they promised they would send to me. It has been about 2 months since they said they sent one, and I haven't gotten it yet. Overall, I am happy with my purchase and would buy another LG, I just wish the software was fixed so my shows won't crash. Less

    Great features

    Posted by Kmp12 on 7th Mar 2023

I've had this tv for almost 2 years, the picture quality is amazing with great preset options for different viewing styles. The sound is excellent you can really hear the difference between the different options. It works great without the need for a sound bar. The operating system is probably the best out there with great features that help improve picture quality. It's also fast and smooth and works well with the pointer in the magic remote. Only downside is the tv sometimes glitches and will change the input on its own but this rarely happens, it also could have better apps that are compatible with the TV. Overall I highly recommend this tv.

    Stunning Picture

Posted by Bill in Rochester on 7th Mar 2023

We purchased the LG OLED55C2PUA two weeks ago at Best Buy. The picture is amazing and we've been impressed with the sound, as well. The TV features dozens, if not hundreds, of preloaded apps. But for some reason, ESPN+ is not one of them. I had checked online prior to purchasing, and ESPN lists LG as supporting the app, but this model doesn't. That's really been my only disappointment. If I had the option, I'd give the TV a 4.9 rating for that issue, but the TV itself is truly excellent. I'm very glad that we purchased OLED technology rather than QLED technology. I'm not a tech expert, but I can see the difference.
