Maxell MPWX5603 Overview

Present in classrooms and conference rooms with ambient light with the Maxell MP-WX5603 6000-Lumen WXGA Laser 3LCD Classroom & Conference Room Projector. It outputs 6000 lumens of brightness to overcome ambient light in many situations, and its 1280 x 800 WXGA native resolution will help keep images, charts, and text clear at most viewing distances.

Composite video, two VGA, and two HDMI inputs help ensure compatibility with a variety of source types. One VGA input can instead act as an output to daisy-chain multiple projectors or displays to show the same image source in multiple places. An HDBaseT port allows long runs of HD video, audio, data, and control signals over RJ45. A built-in 16W speaker mitigates the need for an external sound system, though you can use one with the analog audio inputs and output. An IR remote control and a VGA cable are included as an added convenience.

Long-Life Laser Light Source

The light source combines blue laser diodes and a phosphor wheel, which can achieve over 6000 lumens. The projection image is bright and clear with vivid colors. Since lamp replacement is unnecessary, maintenance cost is reduced. Additionally, by not using mercury lamps, the projectors are eco friendly. Plus, Maxell's unique cooling system can achieve a low noise level of 27 dB in whisper mode. The life of the light source is approximately 20,000 hours at normal mode, but by using other modes, which reduce the brightness or operation period, its life can be extended up to 50,000 hours. These mode settings can be used for different purposes depending on the application of the projector.

4K Ready

The projector allows 4K signal inputs on HDMI 1 and HDBaseT (4K @ 24/25/30 fps). These digital inputs are also HDCP-compliant.

Accentualizer

This Maxell original technology makes pictures look more real by enhancing sharpness, gloss, and shade to make pictures as clear as those on a flat-panel device. You can also adjust the effects by three levels according to your surroundings so that the colors of projected images are the actual colors of the objects they represent.

Aspect Zoom

Aspect Zoom makes the maximum image size on the screen while keeping the aspect of the image.

Auto Power On

When the projector is in standby mode and detects the video signal input from an external device, this function starts up the projector to display the image automatically on the screen. This makes the time to start up the projector and begin presenting quicker and easier. (This function is unavailable when STANDBY MODE is set to NETWORK (WOL) or SAVING. This function may work unintentionally by connected external device.)

Cloning Function

Copy settings data from one projector to others of the same model via the Projector Data Cloning Application. Cloning not only saves almost all projector settings, such as gamma and keystone, it also saves countless hours in setup and installation.

HDCR2 (High Dynamic Contrast Range)

When average projectors are used in bright rooms, the darker colors of an image deteriorate and images become unclear. Using this function, blurred images caused by room lighting or outside light sources are corrected, and an effect similar to increasing contrast occurs. The recent enhancement to HDCR2 achieves not only auto tone enhancement but also auto color enhancement. This results in clear and vivid images even in bright rooms.

Perfect Fit 2

Perfect Fit 2 lets you adjust individual corners and sides independent of one another. It provides vertical and horizontal digital correction of either barrel or pincushion distortions. This feature helps correct geometric and complicated distortions. Perfect Fit 2 allows the projected image to fit correctly to the screen quickly and easily.

Projector Quick Connection App for Mobile Devices

Maxell's iOS and Android applications offers projector control and also provides the capability to display photos, document files, and web site contents, and is available for iPad, iPhone, and Android devices. It works over your LAN via your RJ-45 port or via an optional USBWL5G wireless adapter.

Input Source Naming

You can name input sources in simple language instead of factory default names.

Lens Shift

Lens shift can adjust the position of an image on the screen by turning the adjusters manually. This adjustment is useful to fit the image to the position without causing keystone distortion.

Network Control, Maintenance, and Security

Embedded networking gives you the ability to manage and control multiple projectors over your LAN. Features include event scheduling, centralized reporting, image transfer, and email alerts for reactive and routine maintenance. Supported third party control options include Web Control, PJLink, Crestron Connected, AMX, and Extron XTP.

Picture by Picture & Picture in Picture

Picture by Picture enables the content from two input sources to be displayed simultaneously, side-by-side on one screen. You can use two sources including two HDMI, with both images sharing equal screen size. The feature is ideal for teleconferencing applications. Picture in Picture enables you to display one image inside another image using two sources, including two HDMI.

DICOM Simulation Mode

The MP-WX5603 offers a DICOM Simulation Mode that allows the projector to simulate the results of devices compliant with the Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) Part 14 standardized display function, for display of grayscale images. The DICOM Simulation Mode, which supports both Blue and Clear Base, adjusts the gradation between the minimum and the maximum luminance, so gradation is distributed optimally. This feature is optimized for displaying medical images such as X-rays, CAT scans, and MRIs, which makes the MP-WX5603 useful for non-diagnostic purposes such as lectures, academic meetings, and hospital conferences. This feature is recommended for use in medical schools for training and educational use only.

PIN Lock / MyScreen / MyText

PIN lock protection can limit projector users. MyScreen PIN lock keeps captured images on the startup screen. Users can set any name logo to MyScreen, clearly identifying ownership. MyText provides the ability to write text on the startup screen, such as model name, serial number, or location.

360° Rotation and Portrait Projection

Rotate the projector as you like and project in portrait orientation for creative applications and enhanced installation flexibility.

Wireless Presentation Compatible

Connect the projector to a computer or your network using the optional USBWL5G USB wireless adapter.

Computer-Less Presentation

By using a USB memory stick or other storage device, you can use the projector without a computer. Menus are easy to see with a thumbnail display. There is also a slideshow function that supports various file types, including JPG, PMG, BMP, and GIF.

PJMessenger

This function lets you send and display text messages and audio alerts on your networked projectors.

LAN Presentation

Maxell's networking software enables you to send content directly from your computer to the projector via your LAN.

Serial Number and Media Access Control Label

A label is attached to the side of the projector, allowing you to easily access and read the model name, serial number, and MAC address while it's mounted in ceiling use for easy accessibility during installation and network setup.

Wi-Fi Solutions

Supply 5 VDC, 2A power to your compatible streaming devices via USB. It supports select Amazon Fire TV, Google Chromecast, EXCast Pro2, Barco ClickShare, wePresent, and QuattroPod models.
