Hitachi WU3500 Overview

Enjoy bright, sharp images with the LP-WU3500 WUXGA DLP LED Projector from Hitachi. Its 3500 lumens of brightness and 1920 x 1200 WUXGA resolution make this single-chip DLP projector well suited for use in a variety of applications including digital signage. Featuring a throw ratio of 1.3-2.3:1, the projector can be placed 33 to 593" from a wall or screen to give you images 30 to 300" in size. Horizontal/vertical keystone correction makes for hassle-free setup.

The LP-WU3500 has multiple digital inputs including HDBaseT, two HDMI, and MHL (shared with HDMI) for connecting digital high-definition sources. Also featured are VGA and RCA composite video inputs for analog sources as well as a VGA computer monitor output. Included in the package are a remote control, a power cord, and a lens cover, among other useful accessories.

Dust-Resistant Sealed Engine

The air-tight structure of the optical engine minimizes the ingress of dust particles, allowing for consistent brightness throughout the projector's operational life.

Edge Blending

The Edge Blending function allows for seamless projection of one image using multiple projectors. Instant Blending enables blending processing without the use of any special equipment.

Geometric Correction

The projector supports geometric correction (warping) from your computer, which gives you the ability to project on spherical surfaces and surfaces with corners as well as on conventional flat screens.

Maintenance-Free Operation

With no need to replace lamps or air filters, approximately 20,000 hours of maintenance-free operation can be expected from this projector.

360° Rotation / Portrait Projection

360° rotation and portrait projection allow for creative applications and installation flexibility.

Accentualizer

Hitachi's Accentualizer technology makes pictures look more real by enhancing sharpness, gloss, and shade. The projector provides three-level adjustment of these effects to help you achieve true-to-life images.

HDCR (High Dynamic Contrast Range)

HDCR technology enables you to enjoy clear images in even bright rooms.

Color Management

Color Management allows independent adjustment of the hue, saturation, and luminance of six colors (red, green, blue, cyan, magenta, and yellow). With this technology you can, for example, adjust the blue color of the sky while maintaining the other colors on the image intact.

Image Optimizer

The Image Optimizer automatically adjusts the HDCR and Accentualizer functions to improve visibility.

High-Performance Lens

The projector's powerful 1.7x zoom lens allows for a range of installation options. You can manually shift the lens both horizontally and vertically in order to position an image on the screen without experiencing keystone distortion.

Constant Bright Image

Constant mode maintains fixed brightness throughout the sensor's life, meaning you can expect the same level of brightness even after 20,000 hours of operation.

Easy Event Scheduling

Routine and special projector events including power-on, power-off, input selection, and other settings can be easily scheduled.

Quick Start / Quick Off

In Quick Start mode, the light source reaches its full brightness within 5 seconds of power-on.

DICOM Simulation Mode

Images in DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine) Mode are reproduced with an advanced grayscale level. This mode is ideal for viewing grayscale medical images such as X-rays as well as for training and educational purposes.

This projector is not approved for use with medical devices. It should not be used in actual medical diagnosis.

Picture-by-Picture

Picture-by-Picture mode enables the content from two input sources to be simultaneously displayed side-by-side on one screen. You can use two sources such as two HDMI inputs, with both images using equal screen size. The feature is ideal for teleconferencing applications.

Picture-in-Picture

Picture-in-Picture mode enables you to display one image inside another image using two sources, for example two HDMI inputs.

Perfect Fit

Perfect Fit Mode enables you to adjust individual corners and sides independently of one another. This feature helps correct complicated geometric distortions to make the projected image fit correctly on the screen quickly and easily.

Wireless Presentation Compatible

Connect the projector to a computer or your network using the optional USB wireless adapter (USBWL11N). The adapter supports IEEE802.11b/g and 11n.
