Description

Epson LS500 Overview

Enjoy a vibrant home theater experience with virtually no on-screen shadows with the white Epson EpiqVision Ultra LS500 4000-Lumen Pixel-Shift 4K UHD Ultra-Short Throw 3LCD Laser Projector. It outputs up to 4000 lumens of color and white brightness for use under a variety of lighting conditions, and supports the HDR10 and HLG HDR formats for bright, lifelike color with compatible source content. It has stereo speakers built-in that output up to 10 total watts, so you won't need an external sound system.

The included HDMI adapter houses the Android TV operating system with the Google Assistant for smart TV and voice control functionality. The projector's three HDMI inputs let you connect multiple digital high-definition sources at once to minimize the need to switch cables.

  • Ultra-short throw laser-array technology produces large images while placed just inches from your wall or screen – no complex wiring or ceiling mount required
  • 4K PRO-UHD Projection Technology uses pixel-shift technology to produce a 4K UHD on-screen image for exceptional sharpness
  • 10-bit HDR processing accepts 100% of the source information to help faithfully reproduce HDR content for enhanced visual performance
  • 4000 lumens of color and white brightness from the laser diode light source helps display content bright enough for all-day viewing in nearly any lighting environment
  • 3-chip LCD technology capable of displaying the Rec.709 color space (in Digital Cinema Mode only)
  • 2,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio with advanced black density control individually pulses the laser light to precisely suppress stray light within the signal to deepen black levels
  • Real time 12-bit analog-to-digital video processing helps to provide smooth tonal transitions and eliminate banding, blocking, and other compression artifacts

Good picture quality but fan is loud and warms up the room. The TotalTech team never got 3D to work.

    A-MAZAIN!!

First I had to wait for my new projection screen to come in. Then I had to get the setting just right. But now that I have connected it to my sound system got to screen and the throwing distance from the projector just right, which is a thing, I love it. Runs off of the Android system, has all the same smart TV features. Including the ability to be added to my Google home. I couldn't ask for a better 150-in TV. Hope I can upgrade my screen to 300 one day and take full advantage of what my new projector can do.

Good Machine... only time will tell for sure.

This is an excellent projector. That said, the first one had some very crazy stuff happening inside the first year. They ended up sending out a tech, who then authorized a return to store and a replacement. Second one is now installed and working. One big thing to note, there is NO Optical out... ONLY a HDMI (ARC). Which works, but it was one of the weird issues that I had with the first one after about the first 6 months.
